My source of reference for this entry is the movie "Brown Sugar." I was watching it on VH-1 on Thursday.
Let me set up the scene.
Taye Diggs accidentally takes his wife's cell phone again (played by Nicole Ari Parker) and she gets a kinky text message. It is a rendezvous and he decides to take Sanaa Lathan to the restaurant where his wife and some man are having a dinner. She's obviously cheating on him and he wants to confront her. Diggs and Lathan walk up on Parker and her dinner date. When Parker sees Diggs, her mouth drops like someone threw an anchor into the ocean. She's speechless. I thought this was the best scene in the whole damn movie...and the best moment was when Diggs tells the waiter "I need to celebrate. I want to order the most expensive bottle of champagne in this place. I need to celebrate my divorce." He says the last sentence as he takes a fork and taps a crystal glass.
Very few moments in our life stand out like that. Hell, Kodak has turned the phrase Kodak moment into normal venacular. Mastercard has told us those moments are priceless.
So, how does your real life Kodak cheating moment measure up to the movie? And would you say it was truly priceless as Mastercard insists?

Ha-I wish I could call the discovery of his cheating priceless lol. It was more crazy. Looking back I should have ordered champagne and celebrated but when you together 9 years the last thing you feel like doing is celebrating his asinine antics lol. But you neglected to tell us if your moment was priceless. Thi sis your blog afterall. ;o)
A Kodak moment? Priceless? Well I guess it was -- each moment! My ex cheated on me more than once, something like three or four times. Each time I knew he had cheated, even told him I knew and he would deny it each time.
He eventually came out and told me -- making these moments priceless. I never caught him in the act, but I knew. Anyway, my priceless moments were when he told me, thinking it would soften the sting. It always seemed to be during a moment when he was drunk or the person he cheated on me with gave him some drama. The guilt in his face and the fear of how I would react I will never forget!
And what's even more priceless is he is going through it now with his new lover!
PRICELESS!
Loved this movie :) And this moment was hilarious. *imitating Taye's falsetto* "MY DIVORCE. Classic, just classic! Anyways, nice blog, will have to come back soon.

when i caught my ex cheating, it was maury povich/jerry springer...
my co-workers were the ones who caught him with his side woman at a party. he denied she was more than a friend. i called her, since her number was on the party invitation. she didn't know about me. cussed him out. me and the side woman were going to confront him together, but it didn't work out. she slashed his tires, instead. (i had NOTHING to do with it).
it's a lot more in between. that's the five dolla version. oh, and all this went down the week i got my wisdom teeth pulled, so i was high on painkillers when i cussed him out.
I dont think that "Priceless" comes to mind when I think of a breakup or catching or even being caught cheating. YES I have been caught cheating before! And it always causes you to lose precious time, sleep and peace of mind. And if you love hard sometimes your MONEY! Wasted gifts and assistance to someone who wasnt true to you to begin with.
But nevertheless when you think in retrospect of some of the ways you catch people cheating (or get caught) its funny as hell. The stupid lies, innuendos, sights and smells (Yes Smells!) of a cheater are always right there in our faces.
i agree with jaded pen....i've cheated before and u do lose time, sleep etc plus it hurts, escpecially when you care about the person. but, ive heard some crazy stories about people getting caught..it should be a show all its own.
LOLOLOLOLOOLOOLOLOL!!! that is my FAVORITE part of that movie!! one of my friends used to call me everytime that part was on and play it for me over the phone and I would fall out laughing!!!!!! FAB. U. LOUS!!! That's that good ish. Love it!!!
