The deadline is Dec. 31st. That's when I need to find a new place to live.
The lease ends that day and my roommate isn't renewing the lease...so that means I have to find a new place to live and give up my proximity to the beach for now.
I've called a real estate agent. No response yet.
I've checked the newspaper classifieds. Little help there.
I've checked various websites. Some help there.
I've only moved twice in my entire life from Boston to upstate New York and from upstate New York to New Jersey. Each was a nerve-racking experience. I live in Monmouth County now and I want to stay in Monmouth County.
The stress got so bad...I had to take a weekend getaway to New York City. I had a blast in NYC this past weekend and almost didn't want to leave. So, I'm back in New Jersey and on the apartment hunting grind.

Pobrecito!!! I feel your pain
I can try and help you a bit, I live in monmouth county and know of some apartment complexes. I'm FROM jersey although I've never rented anything in the state. But, I humbly offer what expertise I have. -L.
I wish I could help out in some way...
Man, I keep hearing good things about NYC. I wish I could escape!
@journiemajor and leticia.....thanks.
@solitaire...New York City is wonderful place to visit. You would enjoy yourself there.
Good luck finding a new place. Are you gonna get another roommate for the new place??
Yay good luck with the hunt for a new place, we all know how important it is to a safe haven.
i'm so bad at change i.e. apt hunting/moving/job searches. cheers to vacays and beach proximity!!!
how aboyt YOU take over the lease, homie?
Nope. Time to live on my own (eventually) and this place is too small anyways.
Why don't you stay where you are???
I mean, the roommate's leaving. That doesn't mean you have to...
basically...
@mdubb...because the landlord isn't extending the lease and I need a bigger place.
