So, I have a new fixation and it is the aforementioned title of my blog.
Full disclosure: I didn't make the cut as one of the bachelors for Essence Magazine's project...but I'm not bitter. lol. I don't have a flashy job title like some of the guys do but I'm a good wholesome brother.
Anyhow...Nicole, 28, who is a talent producer for Wendy Williams's radio & TV show, is the first woman up and she's a R-I-O-T. She's also Jamaican...so I have a soft spot for her and of course big ups to the Green, Gold and Black.
She was made for this Essence project and I think the creators purposely picked her first to get everyone hooked on this project. Her blog on the project is a must read too.
Ladies, would you sign up for this project?
Fellas, would you date Nicole?

i def. go back daily. she kind of annoys me. i would need some time between the dates. night after night is too much!! plus signing up for dates just felt so desperate to me. i don't like people all in my biz so i wouldn't want cameras following me.
That as J has said is a bonafide hit.
I watched both Nicole's dates. She's cute, i however have a love hate relationship with her voice (it reminds me of this girl at my school who you like one minute, despite the next cause her ass is sometimes too loud).
The show's catchy. My only thing is the success quotient. I know successful people want successful people, but are providing only doctors, lawyers, and architects breeding superificial, materialistic, petty, and limited perceptions of the dating/relationship reality?
Well....there's a guy that's a "video editor" so that ain't all that flashy, it's just whoever people are picking for her.
I don't know if I could really do it. Cameras following me and then being at the mercy of others picking my date, what I'm wearing...it's just a little weird.
But it seems like it's the easiest way to date, too. Someone scours the city finding people who somewhat fit your "qualifications" you don't have to worry about looking for what to wear and doing your makeup. So it seems a little bit easier than going on Blind Date or something like that.
it's good to see people enjoying the show;) Keep watching and voting!!
well i would do it but only for the exposure, i probably wouldnt' take any of the dates seriously. it just screams desperate and i have no problem meeting people, talking to people or pursuing an interest.
@jameil1922...she is a bit of a lunchbox for my tastes but she's worth watching on TV or the web. She'll probably get her own reality show out of this venture.
@cnel...her voice and the head swing are priceless...
@journiemajor...you have to step outside your box sometimes.
@cj...who's up next...because I'm tired of Nicole. Next time, rotate the different women and the dates...back to back to back to back to back...might be bit much of the same person.
@jrzylioness...Desperate is a bit harsh.
HOW MUCH DID YOU LOVE KALIK SHOWING UP!!?? I died. fab.
I would give her a date. She seems interesting enough.
@jameil1922...Kalik showing up was quite a surprise. My man is trying REAL hard to get Nicole's attention. I don't know if any woman is worth that much trouble. I don't think Kalik is the one for Nicole...Lay or Bernard seem better fits. We'll see what America picks for Nicole. I picked Lay.
@epsilonicus...You would? lol. Good luck with that.
