I love message boards...I get a good number of my blog topics from them. Today's entry is the latest example.
So, a woman posts about a female co-worker.
"So this girl at my job just received some flowers and she's thinking its from her husband...ITS NOT... its anonymous...She talkin bout she takin them home. Men, how would u feel if your lady came home with flowers that YOU DIDNT SEND HER. here she go: "I haven't gotten flowers from hubby in over a year...maybe this will wake him up."
I laughed my ass off when I saw this thread.
First, I knew that this woman sent the flowers to herself. The thread originator revealed later that her co-worker indeed sent the flowers to herself. My hypothesis was correct. However, the co-worker gave herself away when she said her husband hadn't sent her flowers in over a year. Ladies, I'm going to let you in on a secret. Married men don't sent flowers UNLESS it is Valentine's Day or her birthday or they have f#cked up or feel guilty about something.
Second, her plan was foolish from the start. She's trying to get his attention by getting him jealous. Why do I see a domestic violence charge looming with this plan? It is never a good idea to make a man jealous in any way. If something is wrong with your relationship from your point of view, open your mouth and talk to him. Making him think there is another man, is just setting yourself up for disaster.
I wish my girlfriend or wife would try this bullshit with me. That act by her would be the beginning of the end of our relationship or marriage.

definitely stupid. another thought on one of the points you made: maybe men (and women) should stop dropping the nice stuff just b/c they're married.
@jameil1922...after a while...sending flowers gets old...and besides...flowers die. Creativity is the key to keeping a relationship/marriage fresh. Send flowers for a while...then think of something else to show appreciation.
Why waste the money on sending yourself flowers. Talking is free!
@ladynay...I never even thought about the monetary side of this thing...lol.
Im going to have to ask you to not say "Why do I see a domestic violence charge looming with this plan?" When I read this I thought O.J. I dont know why but maybe that is what caused him to flip.
@epsilonicus...my sense of humor gets the best of me sometimes. I wasn't advocating a man hitting a woman. I WOULD never say that...but jealously is definitely a cause of some domestic violence incidents...just ask any police officer.
women.
Would it not be better to just sit down and TALK to your husband and address the lack of attention and/or communication rather than resort to high school antics?
@chris...I know...I know..
@diamondsr4eva...The art of communication is a dying thing in relationships.
