Sher-Bear

The title=her unofficial nickname for me.

I hate it. She loves it (and is even running a full phone, e-mail and text campaign to get me to endorse it). So, we're at an impasse.

Her text me to me last night.

"Have a good night sher bear. I miss you already and we don't even see each other. (muaaaah)!"

How can a text like that not melt your heart?

I project myself as a tough guy (one that doesn't put up with any bullsh#t any more) but sometimes you have to smile at the things that people do.

And it is very hard not to like her.

Maybe if we were married. I could roll with it.

Maybe if we were dating. I could tolerate it.

However, I told her that a man's nickname has to command respect. A woman's nickname can be cute. I offered "El Presidente" or even "Chocolate Man" (previous nicknames that have my full endorsement) as a compromise. She waved them both off. She is sticking with "sher-bear" as her candidate. She said that a nickname only has to be cute.

@epsilonicus...Yeah...I've surrendered to the nickname.

@diamondsr4eva...none of my female friends have objected to the nickname and most of my male friends will not publicly endorse me because they don't want to mess up their chances. Cowards I tell you.
