Time to invent the remix (Part 3)

I can't believe we are only 25 days into the new year and I'm having this much fun.

  • I spent last weekend in Washington, D.C. and I'm still amazed at what I saw. We are in a recession? You could have fooled me based on the amount of people trying to sell stuff off Obama's name. There was a guy selling "Obama Pretzels." Really dawg? O-b-a-m-a...P-r-e-t-z-e-l-s and $4 a pop too. GTFOHWTB. The pretzel guy wasn't outdone because there were a billion different t-shirts, buttons, pins, hats, towels...etc. You name the accessory item and someone was shoving their Obama-version down your throat as you walked around the nation's capitol. I'm pretty sure every bar/club/restaurant in the District made a king's ransom during Inauguration Weekend too. If they didn't cash in on America's newest cash cow, that's their fault. I'm going to call this one early but Barack Obama will be the most profitable person , nevertheless President, in the history of the vending business.

  • I'm loving the going to the movies by myself thing. I already prefer to shop by myself (unless I really need a second or third opinion) and now rolling solo to the movies is my new favorite Sunday afternoon activity. Well...that and a trip to Best Buy. So, today I went to see "the Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and I love this movie. I'm 3-for-3 on the solo movie picks this year after already seeing "Seven Pounds" and "Not Easily Broken." My new favorite celebrity baby momma Taraji P. Henson is in the movie and any time she's ready "I'll marry her ass quick and give her a sheetload of babies. Black, ashy babies!"

  • I must turn in my vacation requests by the end of February. With the cold weather here in the Northeast, my mind is on any place that is warm. My goal is to take two vacations per year (one international, one domestic) and I have to make a decision very soon. My leading candidate for an international vacation is the Cayman Islands with Toronto, Montreal and the Bahamas also in the running. My leading candidate for a domestic vacation is New Orleans with Miami, Atlanta and Houston also in the running. Based on the choices I listed, where would you pick?

Sherlon,

You are too crazy. I was LMAO with the comment about Taraji P. Henson.
Now, to help you with your vacation pics: I choose Atlanta. That way I can come and hang out with ya. And, for your international trip, I suggest you go to the Cayman Islands.

Peace and blessings,
Sheena Queenel
