All Quiet on the Eastern Front

• I haven't done much dating in a while besides going out with Ms. S. We're back on...but I'm not exactly sure as what yet. No titles or anything, her request. So, I'm just going with the flow and see where this takes me.

• I took a trip to Washington, D.C. this past weekend and LOVED IT. There is something about the professional black crowd in D.C. that is unique. D.C. is already my favorite place to visit but keeps impressing me with each visit. I'm planning to go back at least one more time this fall and definitely in the winter or spring of 2011.

• At 31-years-old...I'm starting to hit a crossroads in my life. My parents and now my 25-year-old sister are badgering me when I'm going to have children. I wish I could put a big "Do Not Disturb" sign on my forehead the next time one of them or anyone that knows me brings up this topic or dears to ask that question. Simple answer: I don't know...please stop asking...it isn't like I'm not trying to find a good woman to settle down with and start a family.

• Does no one check their voicemail anymore? I called a friend in DC and left her three important voicemails. She never checked it until the day I left DC. So, that was a total waste of time. I called Ms. C and left her a voicemail this past Saturday and now it is Tuesday night and she hasn't returned my voicemail either. So, I'm not sure what's up with her. I sent her a text on Friday and she responded. Go figure.
