Not Your Usual Dopers: Music Edition

It appears that R&B superstar Mary J. Blige, rappers 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean, and even award-winning author and producer Tyler Perry have some explaining to do about steriods.

I would have never fingered Mary J. Blige, Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and Tyler Perry in this ongoing steriods investigation. But Fitty (as the NY Post called him in a story about this) was a prime candidate for doping. The man just blew up (physically) since he first came on the scene and no way is that all from working out in the gym.

But Mary...Mary...Mary....please say it isn't so? and why in the first place? Has the singing and touring been such a strain on your life...that you need a pick-me-up drug? Maybe she hasn't heard of the side effects and maybe she doesn't know what happened to Marion Jones.

As for Timbaland, a producer, he's got some real explaining to do. Does he have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Does the steriods ease the pain on his fingers and hands as he does the mixing for his many hits?

I'm willing to give a pass to Wyclef. He hasn't come out with a hit in a long time and this at least gets his name back in the news.

Tyler Perry is a real headscratcher. I can't find a reason he could justify steriod use.

I wonder who will be next?

I do not know why Tyler Perry would take steroids. They are not working for him. He is still kind of pudgy.

I guess they help him write better. In that case, he might want to up the dosage.
