The Nation Report (Offseason, Part 12)




Today, The Boston Red Sox traded right-handed pitcher Bronson Arroyo (pictured above) to the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Wily Mo Pena (also pictured above).

On Sunday, the Red Sox signed outfielder Juan Gonzalez to a minor league deal.

@profesorgq....easy now...Congrats to the White Sox on the World Championship but think of this as an UNO game and 'round these parts...THE COLOR IS RED!

@DL Sands...I guess this is insurance if Trot Nixon gets injured again. Nixon is 31-years-old and I believe is a free agent after this season. Wily Mo can rake but strikes out a lot. If they put him like 5-6-7 in the order, he could do some damage.
