Mic check...1....2.....3

I'm not a broadcast journalist but I must admit that the bloopers that broadcast journalists make are way better than the errors my print brethen will ever commit.

For example, On Tuesday, CNN anchor Kyra Phillips gives us this priceless bathroom voiceover.

(Update, Friday, September 1, 2006, 10:53 a.m.)

So, Kyra Phillips made an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. She gave us her "Top 10 Kyra Phillips excuses." I don't believe a single one but the list was funny.

Click here for the link. (The video is on the right hand side).

SPChrist where do you find these?

I found this one, but do you look for these as justification for going into print? LMAO.

This was bad, it's not unheard of, just rather amateurish. You would have thought that someone would have told her way before she had time to continue the rant.

In her justication the mic was wireless, and who knows if she was wearing her earpiece so she could got a heads up to shut up.

LOL yeah, inquiring minds wanna know.

But there could be any number of reasons, since you said she was in the bathroom, and it does sound like it, at least at my station, they can unplug from the IFB, it could still be in their ear, and have everything else on. Or she might not have had her IFB in. Or, they might've left her mic on and didn't tell her, so she could go right back to doing an update. It's much easier to leave it on and tell the anchor to shut up b/c there are a lot of times when the mute button is not unmuted in time or not hit at all and we never hear the anchor/reporter. But eh, c'est la vie de television.

But you still love us!!!

Come on y'all...it was in today's news... I READ about it before I watched it!

CNN of ALL PLACES should be careful with their mics. Good thing she didn't cuss and carry on stupid... now THAT would have been a disaster.

It'll make for some uncomfortable Thanksgiving moments, that's for sure.

Hey, print dudes get play... TV guys get noticed first because of their obvious exposure. But I'm sure their egos are MUCH bigger than print bruhs. ;)

LMMFAO! Yes, broadcast bloopers are better than print because it's concrete image/sound, rather than imagination. This is fantastic!
