(Timber)...Look Out Below

Have you noticed the dropping price of gas?

Well, if you drive a car then you have noticed. I drive by five gas stations on my regular route to work and I'm constantly looking at where I will make my next fill up. Lately, I suddenly have choices as everyone is lowering the price. I know every Fall the price of gas goes down a little bit but the drop from almost $4.00 to $2.35 for regular is eye opening.

When gas prices reached criminal levels of $3.69/gallon for regular in my area, I was filling up at about $37.00/tank. I am not a SUV owner. I am not a fast driver. I keep my car in good working condition. Even still, I dramatically changed the way I drove and for what reasons.

Shoot.

I also started evaluating people by how much gas I was willing to burn to go see them/do business with them/hang out with them....etc. When I was a senior in high school in 1997, I remember gas was about $1.50. If you wanted a ride back then, I took you no problem. Today, I'm putting my hand out for some green paper or we are negotiating some other form of tangible payment.

I just can't take the hit in gas any more.

So, just when I adjusted my driving habits, I saw this article.

Yeah it'll go up when it's traveling season again, we started reporting about it again for real for real when we saw $2.07 somewhere. Today there was a gas station that's $1.99 for regular, and I saw on our feed from the network, there's a gas station up in Philly that's selling $1.49/gallon of regular.

But I'm curious, what exactly are these other forms in your statment "some other form of tangible payment"?
