Boston didn't win the AL East but is still in the playoffs via the AL wildcard after thumping the Yankees, 10-1, at Fenway Park on Sunday.
The man (pictured above) getting Dom Pérignon dumped on him...needs no introduction.
I know the votes are still being tallied but I'm calling this one early but David Ortiz (.300 avg, 47 HR, 148 RBIs) is your AL MVP.

I don't buy into this argument that "DH's shouldn't be given MVP awards" because while you do need defense, you obviously need to have more runs than the other team to win, last time I checked, and nobody has been more clutch or more productive than Big Papi (or Big Pimpin as I like to call him), so I say give him the award.

@ SpChrist-You know Big Papi is my second babydaddy (Lawyer Milloy is my first). But I am mad that he is wearing swimming goggles in this photo, suggesting that the Red Sox win so often that he is prepared for the squirting champagne. WHATEVER! I know nothing about the stats. All I know is that when David Ortiz comes up to bat, the other team tries to WALK him, because if he actually connects with the ball, it could wind up in Providence somewhere, LOL
@ Chris-LOL at 'Big Pimpin.' You know he has a plane named after him, right? Song airline named a plane for him last weekend. Ride Big Papi Air? Sounds good to me! ;]
