The Nation Report (Offseason, Part 10)

The Boston Red Sox have gone crazy for Coco Crisp (pictured above). The Cleveland Indians traded Crisp, a center fielder, along with reliever David Riske and catcher Josh Bard to Boston for reliever Guillermo Mota, third base prospect Andy Marte and catcher Kelly Shoppach. The Red Sox also agreed to give the Indians at least $1 million.

the Sawx definitely needed someone to replace Johnny Damon, and got someone quicker than him on the basepaths in Crisp. If only the Phillies could make moves like this.

chezniki, I thought I cleared this up a while ago on this blog, but I'll give it another go: Coco's real name is Covelli Loyce Crisp!

I don't know about everybody else, but I'd definitely rather go by Coco.

@SpChrist-yeah 'CoCo's real name is Kyle Reese, like the guy from the Terminator. 'BooBoo's real name is Earnest James, after his father. All these Southern nicknames, thank Gawd my mom insisted everyone call me 'Niki'
