If you recognized the bus in the picture above then you know what city I visited for the Fourth of July weekend.
For those of you that still have no clue…I was in the D.C. area.
I went to visit my friend Niecy. We participated in a sports internship program together in 2000 and we’ve kept in contact ever since. The last time I saw her was in 2001 when she came to my 21st birthday celebration in Massachusetts. So, it had been a long time.
I made the impromptu trip to D.C. because I didn’t want to spend the holiday weekend in New Jersey.
On Friday night, we went to Love and heard Christina Milian (seen above).
What did Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier use to say when they had a bad review during their Men on Television skits on In Living Color?
HATED IT!
Her D.J./hype man couldn’t inflate a balloon with an electric pump and Milian is one of those singers that sound horrible live. After paying $40 to get in and dancing to some halfway decent music, we were ready to bounce at 2 a.m. The club itself is gorgeous but it is in the middle of a dilapidated neighborhood that I wouldn’t even feel safe in even if I was packing some heat. We made it to her car safely and drove home without an incident.

D.C. is one of my fav cities. I need to visit more often and know how to get to somewhere other than Union Station and Howard LoL.
ok.. next time u in town.. let a sista know.. *eventhough I wasn't there that weekend* but still.. we may get up and hang ot or something!

@cnel...I love D.C...actually i love the women of D.C. to be more exact. I should make another trip there very soon.
