You make the call (update!)

With 55 percent of the precincts reporting, we have a winner in the tell-the-truth poll in my previous blog entry. Here's the true confession from Cecily:

Hi There,
To say the least a lot has happened since we were last in contact. Its been downright crazy. I apologize for you having been kept in the dark all this while. I do not know if you remember that last august (2004) i went to a family reunion in in New Orleans. I met many members of my large, extended family for the first time. I was supposed to go there for work that week but ended up not at the last min due to many reasons. I went home to Albany with my mom because she needed me. It was easier not to tell you I was home. So like a coward I didn't step up and tell you.. Dumb? ..yes....very. After all of that happened we found that 20 members of our New Orleans family were missing. About half of them have been found or ID'd. Many went to TN where my grandparents are (Nonie and Monte Rhea)

This is a rough time for me and my family. I don't expect any slack cut as a result of me telling you all of this I just wanted you to know. Thanks and I hope to hear from you but I understand if I don't.

Why the lie in the first place?

damn yo, you're really putting her business out there. true or false, getting a little hairy and my humble is opinion is for you to figure out what to make of it (and do) and leave us in the peanut gallery to wonder without being the ones to weigh in

Well she explained herself, but shouldn't have left you in the dark like that. She made it seem like you're not understanding or something. So she had to do that. This is your move, if you feel like talking to her again or not. Let me know what you decide.

I don't buy it, but then it's my job to distrust people.

I mean, who wouldn't understand that? Read between the lines and I think you'll find that her ex-b/f or fiancee or some other manfriend is helping her through these "tough times."

Kick rocks!

It's to many women in the world. Like E-Marv said tell her to kick rocks and you just Be Easy.

I agree with dynasty, why lie in the first place? I mean the stupidity of some never ceases to amaze me. She should have been up front with you from jump, and not put herself in a situation where she lost your trust and your respect. I mean come on now who could not understand that her loyalties lie to her family during a difficult time? She took the potential for a relationship for granted as well as your friendship for granted, and for that she should get the axe. I mean be friends with her if you wanna but know that with it comes risks, but then again that is all relationships.

I think you should leave her alone. Life is too short to get mired in drama. Run, don't walk.

Lmao...nah...homie...that was the unedited version on the Dear Cecily, You Make the Call and You Make the Call (Update!). I have no reason to lie to ya'll and quite frankly...I think this is comedy that is why i posted it on the blog. I'm all about humor. She's officially on the DO-NOT-CALL list and is a first-ballot inductee into my HALL OF SHAME!

All I can say about this is that ol girl is FUBAR (fucked up beyond all recognition). For the lies, leave her be. For the friend, leave her be. She might have fallen out wit the chick. You know how women are!
